Email Copy Tips
Here are 10 tips for writing effective email copy.
1. Use your subject line as your headline and keep it
short 3-5 words maximum.
2. Clearly identify the sender of the email.
3. Write your message in a conversational tone.
4. Keep your email message focused and short a maximum
of 2-3 paragraphs or 300 words.
5. Short paragraphs are best.
6. Skipping lines between paragraphs makes copy easier
to read.
7. Make an offer to buy or act now.
8. Stick to one subject, product or offer per e-mail.
9. Make the offer early in the message. This allows
the reader to respond without reading the whole message.
10. Include a reason for them to visit your web site.
