Register for a SAN Number with the FTC

As of January 1, 2005, telemarketers and sellers have been required to search the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) DO NOT CALL registry at least once every 31 days and drop from their call files the phone numbers of consumers who have registered. Subscription Account Number (SAN) are assigned to your organization by the FTC once you register on their web site

Effective June 4, 2012: FTC-DNC New Requirement for Telephone Data Orders

As part of the direct marketing community and a DMA member, Dunhill is dedicated to maintaining compliance with all state and federal regulations for the company and our clients. As such, we want to make you aware of recent changes related to the Do Not Call Registry.

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC), who manages the National Do Not Call Registry, will now require you to provide an Organization ID (Org ID) along with the Subscription Account Number (SAN) you currently provide when placing data orders that include telephone numbers. Org IDs will remain constant but marketers will still have to obtain a new SAN each year to access telephone numbers for marketing campaigns. The purpose of the new org ID is to track organizations that provide their SAN to other companies.

Dunhill is implementing changes to our forms to allow users to enter the Org ID along with the SAN and Seller Name. As of Monday, June 4, 2012, the Org ID will be a required field.
